Nashville based musician, Valid Point., also known as Thad McClelland, takes pride in his ability to conquer many genres. His most recent release, "Up All Night" takes on a hip hop, pop vibe, or as listeners like to call it, "bedroom hip hop."

The chill hip hop and lofi scene has become increasingly more popular throughout the pandemic, underscoring the daily monotony and filling the silence that has become a common part of most people's lives. Adding a calming yet energized soundtrack to the day seems to make focusing on tasks easier when we've become so used to being overstimulated. "Up All Night" is the ideal addition to all of those lofi studying playlists you see on Spotify, providing a chill vibe while still maintaining an upbeat verve. Musically the song has a solid guitar foundation with a clean beat and bass accents, leaving room for the vocals to stand out. Reminiscent of releases by Post Malone, Valid Point. utilizes syncopation in a way that feels conversational, as if you're having a conversation with an old friend. The lyrics are down-to-earth and intimate, further adding an element of personal connection to his listeners. Because Valid Point. presents himself like an old friend, his encouraging lyrics hold credibility as well as accessibility. When he says "we'll be alright," throughout the song, the use of the royal "we" implies that his listeners are included and seen. Overall, "Up All Night" has just the right amount of groove and relatability, utilizing personal connection to create a supportive musical atmosphere.
